4.2.5 Connecting and aligning the antenna
Connect the supplied antenna (3) to the jack “antenna
socket” (16). For a larger range it is also possible to
connect to this jack another 5.8 GHz antenna of the
series DX-58/.. of the programme range from
MONACOR. The reception antenna must be aligned
in parallel to the transmitting antenna (also see chap-
ter 4.3.2 Channel selection). By turning the reception
antenna (3), align it vertically or horizontally:
Vertical polarization Horizontal polarization
4.2.6 Power supply
For power supply a regulated power supply unit is
required with an output voltage between 7 and 30 V
and an output current of 400 mA as a minimum, e. g.
PS-1000ST from MONACOR.
In case of power supply units with variable output
voltage, adjust the voltage between 7 V and 30 V.
Connect the power supply unit via a low voltage plug
5.5/2.1 mm (outside/inside diameter) to the jack
“DC 7 - 30 V” (15). Observe the correct polarity in any
case: apply the positive pole to the inner contact of
the plug.
4.3 Making the adjustments
The AV-5810RDX has 48 programmes on which the
channel numbers and further functions can be stored
via an on-screen menu (see chapter 4.3.1). The re-
ceiver is programmed ex factory as follows:
The other functions are preprogrammed for all pro-
grammes as follows:
on the menu page 1

If this factory setting is sufficient, the on-screen menu
need not be called but only the corresponding pro-
gramme has to be selected with the button “P+” or
“P-” (6) [see chapter 5].
4.3.1 Settings in the on-screen menu
Switch on the receiver with the switch “power” (1).
Select the programme to be adjusted with the button
“P+” or “P-” (6). Keep the button “OK” (7) pressed for
approx. 3 seconds until the first menu page appears
on the screen. If the receiving signal is too poor or
missing, the menu is highlighted in blue colour for bet-
